Retreat centers
Centers that operate openly and publish who they are, where they operate, and under what legal framework. This list is short on purpose. Centers we could not confirm are currently operating are not shown.
A listing here is not an endorsement. Psychedelic retreats carry real medical and psychological risk, and the legal position varies by country and changes. Verify current legal status, medical screening practice, staff credentials and emergency procedures directly with the center before you book.

Beckley Retreats
Multiple Locations, Netherlands/Jamaica
Beckley Retreats runs legal, science-informed psilocybin retreats in Jamaica and the Netherlands, built on the research legacy of co-founder Amanda Feilding and the Beckley Foundation. Programs pair one to two guided psilocybin ceremonies with mindfulness, breathwork, and nature immersion, wrapped in roughly ten weeks of structured support: four weeks of virtual preparation before travel and six weeks of integration after.
In Jamaica, retreats are held on the 200-acre Good Hope Estate in Trelawny Parish, about 45 minutes from Montego Bay airport, with airport transfers included. Netherlands programs run at De Hoorneboeg, a wooded 14-acre former contemplative estate 25 miles from Amsterdam with renovated 18th-century farm buildings, hammam, and sauna, and at The Place to Be, a repurposed monastery in the rural Achterhoek. Accommodation is shared or private room, and meals are organic and locally sourced where possible.
Cohorts are intentionally composed, typically professionals in their 40s through 70s navigating burnout or a major life inflection point, and every applicant passes a medical and psychological suitability screen before acceptance. Facilitation teams include PhDs, psychiatrists, and experienced ceremony leaders, with live music, breathwork, and meditation woven through ceremony days.
Beckley operates as a US public benefit corporation and runs only in jurisdictions where psilocybin is legal. Signature five-night and shorter four-night formats run year-round across both countries, with upcoming dates and pricing published on the Beckley Retreats site and optional one-on-one coaching available alongside the group program.
MycoMeditations
Treasure Beach, Jamaica
MycoMeditations is one of the longest-running legal psilocybin retreats in the world, operating since 2014 in the quiet fishing village of Treasure Beach on Jamaica's south coast. Its week-long, therapy-forward format centers three psilocybin sessions in quick succession, with structured preparation, group processing between doses, and an extensive post-retreat integration program; more than 1,500 guests have come through the model.
Retreats run at three beachfront properties: Blue Marlin (the flagship), Rainbow Tree, and Bluefields Bay, with tiered accommodation from comfortable shared rooms to private sea-view villas, shared pools, and meals prepared on site. Dosing is deliberate: mushrooms are dried, pulverized, and capsulized so facilitators can titrate each guest's dose across the three sessions based on observed response.
The staffing model is unusually clinical for a retreat. Licensed therapists, a psychiatrist, and a nurse are on site, and every applicant completes medical and psychological screening before acceptance. Many guests come specifically for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, or OCD after finding clinical trial access or state-regulated programs out of reach.
Weekly retreats run essentially year-round; 2026 departures at Blue Marlin include August 21-28, with new dates published on a rolling basis. Psilocybin is legal in Jamaica, and Treasure Beach's remoteness, about two hours from Montego Bay, is part of the design.
Temple of the Way of Light
Iquitos, Peru
The Temple of the Way of Light is a traditional Shipibo ayahuasca healing center on 200 hectares of rainforest outside Iquitos, Peru, operating since 2007 and among the longest-running centers in the Amazon. Retreats are led by advanced male and female Shipibo healers (Onanya), whose plant-spirit ethnomedical tradition of icaros, plant dietas, and ceremony forms the backbone of every program.
Core offerings are immersive 12-day retreats, including a Living in Alignment format with an optional five-day integration extension, plus specialized programs such as women-only retreats and a healing-the-healers retreat reserved for medical and mental health professionals. Ceremonies use ayahuasca brewed from vine and chacruna sourced from Shipibo territories, complemented by yoga, individual support, and structured self-inquiry.
The setting is deliberately unplugged. Guests reach the Temple by road, boat, and jungle walk, roughly two hours from Iquitos, with group transfer from the city included, and stay in traditional tambos spread through primary rainforest. The immersion trades modern amenities for depth: expect simple accommodation, a preparatory diet, and a full integration program afterward.
The Temple is also known for its reciprocity work with the Shipibo-Conibo people, supporting the preservation of indigenous healing knowledge. Retreats run monthly year-round, with application, medical screening, and a deposit required well in advance; programs regularly fill months out.
