One of South Africa's longest-running psychedelic gatherings, Origin calls the techno-shamanic tribes to the Elandskloof valley at Helderstroom — between Villiersdorp and Greyton, about 125km from Cape Town — for a full weekend of conscious celebration. The heart of the festival is its deep, all-night psychedelic trance journeys, framed by ritual-inspired décor, visionary art, and mountain streams beneath towering peaks. Attendance is strictly capped around 3,000 to preserve intimacy, and a portion of festival profits supports local development projects. Guided by Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect, Origin remains one of Africa's brightest lights in psychedelic music, art, and culture.
